It was a mildly foggy morning and photography seemed difficult. But the new birdsongs in the air led me to the site of some avian movements.
I have a suspicion that this bird might be a Forest Wagtail about 17-20 cm long bird with with an olive brown shade with a black brown collar around the neck and another interrupted one with a ring around the eyes.
As it began singing, it sounded long and evenly pitched with pauses in between.
It is the first time I spotted this bird in our garden.
I felt fascinated by this bird because of its colour and body complexion.
It is often seen alone and feeds on insects, spiders, etc.
Although the quality of photographs are not even at the level of the beginners in bird photography, I feel good about spotting the avian visitors to our garden! Sighting them and watching them is one way of welcoming and expressing gratefulness to their presence.
This experiences increases the sense of wonder and mystery about the many things that happen in nature!
