Two flowers are present in the rose plant; one's memory stays! Both are however transient!
There are times when we are reminded to view life differently from what we ordinarily do ! Most of us follow our inner and outer rhythm and do not take time to revere life and treasure the experiences of living!
Yesterday when a colleague called me to say that she had slipped from her scooter, I came back to this consciousness once again. She was safe with only few bruises.
For the last ten days, I was physically present with 8 labourers who were repairing the damaged wall of the irrigation well and desilt the well! I watched them do their job inspite of high risk involved! As the well was on a slope and not accessible for a JCB, the only option was to do all these manually!
Life offers us the joy of living and working!
How are we to treasure our life!
Life is a net work of relationships, responsibilities, and opportunities.
To go through all of these with a sense of consciousness, and not absent mindedly, is the least we can do to make each day in our lives rich and abundant!
Some live drowned in work, some live drowned in substance abuse; some live carelessly and irresponsibly...
There are others who live with an enlightened awareness.
The Benedictine monks who live and work in monasteries or in the market place, set apart times of silence three times in a day to return to the consciousness of life and its calling, so that they can live with a sense of presence and nearness to what they do.
The times of planned meditative silences is one way of growing in the consciousness of life and the giver of life!
