I find this Magpie Robin in this bush in the mornings in our garden. Dafney has got used to this bird although the bush is in direct sight of her.
It is from this bush the Magpie Robin makes the enticing bird calls. It has become a distinct call with a high pitch that it is a call for its mate.
As I hear this almost every day for the last tow weeks, I get a sense of the nature of birds. It waits for its mate.
One of the experiences in life for many is the anxiety they carry with them while waiting for what they long for.
For birds, the tuneful bird call is the only way it can announce its friendly tune to other birds. Waiting is therefore an anticipation.
I feel in a similar stage at my work place. We resumed the regular services yesterday after a break of ten months following the COVID pandemic. it is. from a serious dislocation we are emerging to restore a semblance of normalcy. To be fully present, hopeful and make it a new start and an experience is what might make it fruitful.
A bird sings because it is its nature to sing. A professional works because it is her or his nature to work and offer service to others. That too heartily and thoughtfully!
I found it refreshing to welcome thirteen families yesterday, all of whom expressed relief of being able to come for an on-site consultation. They waited and I too waited for this day!
Waiting is fruitful.
Waiting for renewal of relationships and restoration of cordiality is another dimension in waiting that for most of us look forward to!
