Stretching for Freedom !

I watched the two sheeps stretching the ropes with which they were tied! In fact they are safe when they are tied, lest they wander and loose their home!

They stretch to escape from the siege of the rope!

This is also a human instinct! There is a desperation to be 'free' from values, good practices, and obligations.

I stood in  a queue to buy a cup of coffee yesterday, but two people behind me pushed ahead to buy their coffee. The vendor obliged!

This to be is stretching the authoritarian self to dominate over others !

I heard in Television the national address of Queen Elizabeth at the time of Christmas 2018, where she referred to what matters most to her, 'Faith, family and friendships'!

To me these three values define the context and contour of our daily living.

We are free to live by faith, trust family life to be anchor for humanity and foster friendships for human good!

Authoritarianism, domination, discrimination, marginalisation, etc which we witness political leadership exercise in India, USA, and in other parts of the world tell us that true freedom is in peril.

True freedom is, when we foster freedom for others before we seek it for ourselves!
