After a month of attending to keep the spittle bugs away, the leaves, buds and flowers seem to show some recovery. The spittle bugs are still around, but since I gather flowers before they reach them for their feed, we have flowers in the vases and plants look healthier.
This has been learning curve for me in gardening!
