Cutting trees !

This thirty or so old teal tree in our garden needed to be cut as it slanting position caused by the recent storm was risky for the neighbouring trees.

To cut a tree means loss of tree history.

All trees belong to each other and are in communication through its root system and foliage. A loss of tree would seriously affect the neighbouring trees. They live a shared life between themselves giving to each other nutrition and belonging.

The regardful ways the two workmen carried the tree after felling it gave me a sense of the attention they give to a tree even after it is cut.

The garden would be made ready to plant a few shrubs in its place today.

It was my father who got this generation of trees planted about thirty years ago!

The history behind this tree is close to our hearts.
