This Temple plant is blooming for the first time in our garden and the buds look pink till they open. Later they are white with a central yellowish tinge! That is why they are referred to as colourful. Usually there are more flowers than leaves when the tree is in full bloom.
The flowers can be seen in crimson, yellow, red and a pink.
It is a tree which remains bare without leaves for a while followed by thick foliage and later with more flowers than leaves.
This cycle continues every year. It is one tree which is given no attention in a garden. It is sturdy and withstands summer and winter.
This is a mysterious tree.
Mahatma Gandhi was one such mysterious person in human history. For legendary leaders of modern times such as Martin Luther King Jr, Nelson Mandela, Bishop Desmond Tutu, etc. Mahatma Gandhi was the resource and inspiration for their life mission!
Even more mysterious was Jesus of Nazareth.
He lived under threat to his life as the leaders of His time wanted to eliminate him. They succeeded finally. But He prayed a prayer of forgiveness, before he breathed his last: 'Father, forgive them for they do not know what they they do'!
