The central stem of the cases plant in our garden was damaged three weeks back in the heavy rain and wind!
Now multiple shoots have appeared all around the damaged stem!
Bruised but new life emerging!
I feel it is a resounding message of hope about the resilience in life!
The damaged stem is a memorial of the damage suffered! But the new shoots almost submerge the sight of it now and would fully cover it when the shoots are full of leaves.
Some life events bruise us! But that too is a transitory experience! There is a new life awaiting to emerge, if only we allow our spirit of trust an hope abide within us!
The three children making a sand castle on the sea shore got almost tired of the tidal waves erasing them! Then they found a safer place to make the castle! They sat around it for a long time talking about their school! I was touched by this story telling time! Neither the castle or the the several attempts to make were their subjects of conversation!
We have many other things in life to focus on, apart from some wrong choices we made or difficulties we encountered!
The horizon of life is beyond the immediate experiences. We are people on an outward and inward journey!
We are on a journey to find the treasure like the man in the book, The Alchemist! The treasure is within ourselves! The treasure exists within us, even when we are broken!
The treasure of God's abiding presence, which affirms us of our value and worth!
