Mangosteen trees flowering after two years!

The two Mangosteen trees in our garden have flowered and we look forward to the fruits in May, after a gap two years.

Even the trees follow a cycle, and this too nature's way of giving and recovering.

Is giving a draining experience! It need not be if giving and receiving happen concurrently. Those who are involved in giving do not sometimes wait to receive before they can give or wait in between for replenishment of inner energy and wellness.

In the recent weeks, I have experienced how difficult is this balance! In a hurry to give, one does not prepare well to stay well, while giving oneself to listen, understand, empathise or support those who turn to us.

Our friends form Berlin, Giesela and her friends meet at least once in a fortnight to have a fellowship time to feel enabled. They visit ageing friends, call up those who need encouragement and knit or make hand made articles for sale during festive times for raising support for ASHIRVAD.  Giesela recalls, 'our times together as a group give us energy and strength'.

We receive from God the giver of all good gifts and friends who are companions in our pilgrim journey.
