The violet blossoms above and and a carpet of flowers on the lawn!
Who makes this happen!
Some flowers fall by ageing. But most of them are dropped by squirrels after feeding on honey!
Why should a squirrel do this! It is by habit. It is used to carve with its sharp incisors in to fruits. It repeats it even on flowers!
Habits do not change is a usual refrain!
That is an excuse for perpetuating a behaviour.
I heard a mother say that her teenage daughter leaves her belongings scattered in her room that it is a struggle to find them in the morning to put them back to the school bag! On her request mother usually helps her to find them! One day, when her mother was away she had to do it all by herself. The change of putting things in their proper place took place following this.
All habits can change! The political opportunism that we see for a while in India, the recent being enticed defection of ministers and MLAs to another political party endangering the stability of a government in central India is a like habit! What lures the legislators for this detection. Money and power! When we are prisoners of distorted inner consciousness, habits stay. When there is an enlightened consciousness, habits can change.
This comes from revision of our consciousness. It is a movement form from self dominate pursuit to becoming conscious of others!
The Good Samaritan parable of Jesus of Nazareth is a vivd portrayal of this movement from self to the collective self!
