I do not remember seeing a sea without fishing boats and beach without people!
This is what the corona virus infection created for us!
Th consolation is that there is less airier environment pollution in the last two weeks as people are indoors!
For the hotels, restaurants, tour guides, house boats, tourist vehicles, the income from one season is wiped out!
We live with many losses currently.
Are there any gains!
One again is that we have time to think about others who receive care in the hospitals or home, health care workers globally who work in most risky and demanding situations, who have lost jobs and have no income, our neighbours who feel lonely or are distressed.....!
A friend in his fifties called from Brisbane to tell me that, this is his first time experience of seeing the rich and the poor suffer alike!
A senior citizen in her late seventies, whom we know for thirty five years sent us a message yesterday that even during the second world war, she had not noticed such a human displacement or predicament with no end in sight. Her grand daughter is in isolation due to COVED 19.
When we live in a state of void or loss, there is a prospect of a new consciousness dawning on us.
Let it happen!
We need redemption from insensitivity, callousness, hostility and indifference!
