This is what I noticed this morning in our garden! This cat who is a regular visitor to our courtyard was resting on the wall supporting our garden, only 20 feet away from Daffny's kennel and yard. As soon as Daffny noticed the cat, she jumped out of her kennel with a loud bark. The second photo is the responsive look of the cat to the aggressive posture of Daffny!
For the last 48 hours almost all the TV news channel had only one news item running on all the programme- how frightening is the corona viral infection. Even the Prime Minister used a language to create fear and therefore to propose home stay for the next 21 days as a means for breaking the transmission chain. I would have liked to hear the prime minister talk more reassuringly and resolutely to bring comfort and hope!
We live in fear and and are forced to live responsively to diffuse fear.
The motto of the institution where I work is 'Fear not', which is a quote from the sayings of Jesus of Nazareth.
Fear creates anxiety, apprehension, and helplessness or emotional paralysis and action paralysis.
Fear creates fright and flight instincts.
When I consoled Daffny by calling her name and whispering in to her her, 'it is ok, it is our friendly cat', she seemed to understand something of my message and quietened down so that the cat could continue the sunbath on the wall!
I feel that our journey in life is towards peace and hope! Not that we would be free of fear fully at any time, but the consciousness of peace because 'it is in God we live, move and have our being' can be reason for relief and trustful composure!
