Three flowers !

I watched these flowers in the garden!

The first flower seemed to get soaked in the drizzle and the flower seemed to hold on to the water drops. The second flowers do not seem to retain water on them during the drizzle. But he leaves around the flowers seem to retain some water.  The third flower and the leaves around it does not seem to repel water.

I got up a few times at night which is unusual for me. What returned to me was this sight!

We can absorb the events in the environment to our conscious level and retain them as hurts or disappointments or be like the second or third flowers where they have varying levels of capacity to stay protected from the adversities.

Wha tis that which protects us form the adversities that befall us. It is not the events or experiences which hurt us but our reactions to them!

Our emotional consciousness retains the memory of events and allow them to linger on in our thought world.

The counter to this subjective reality is a question, 'Who we are and whose we are'! A quick recollection how we were able to overcome adversities in the past is a our resource of strength. Also, it is a sobering thought to remember that. 'He who watches over Israel does not sleep or slumber..' This is a promise of certainty of safe landing even when the pain of adversity is intense and intriguing!

The first flower withstands the rain and the second and the third floors resist the impact of the rain! Both of these are reassuring reminders of how we too can forebear our circumstances!
