Rain and Wind

There is something special about flowers! They resistant to heat, wind and rain.

On my way back home after a storm and heavy rain, I found this plant, Musonta with its bunch of flowers on the wayside. Branches of trees were on the ground. But this plant did survive the storm.

A gardener told me that flowers which are light, swing in strong wind and escape big damage. But flowers which have thick or rigid petals do get damaged.

That was interesting. It is this which is referred to as  resilience.

Resilience is all about inner strength even in vulnerable situations.

A friend called me yesterday to say that, there is a pressure on him to accept the personal protective equipment provided to the hospital be of good enough quality, where as it is far inferior. He resisted and  he was removed from his responsibility of being the team leader.

He stood his ground because it is character and integrity which makes one resilient.
