A tree along the flight stations of Racket tailed Drongo birds! A third bird, which looks like a Black Drongo is seen flying past the other two!
The tree is denuded of its leaves in the summer and looks bare. The birds give a new look for the tree.
Amidst the gloom following the raging pandemic of the corona infection, the situation looks bereft of hope!
Yesterday, I met a couple who makes about 25 masks every day and goes to the town to distribute it to people who do not wear mask! They are in their early seventies. I happened to meet them walking past shops. I stopped to ask them why they do this! Their answer was, they want to stop the spread of the infection among poor people, who when they fall sick would loose an earning member of the family for several days.
Another couple keeps in touch with friends whom they know, who are alcohol dependent to help them kick the habit! They have a good response from some of them.
Another person telephones teenage children of his friends to keep in touch with them to give companionship at this time of social distancing!
Anna and I have tried to telephone friends to enquire of their wellness!
A difficult time is an opportunity to do good. Any small act of thoughtfulness is good enough.
My colleagues organised to make tea in the department by providing milk powder and tea leaves last week. They decided to do something good for everyone!
One can redeem every dark or dull situation by acts of kindness or thoughtfulness. Remember, the birds. They made the tree look different!
