Twilight after a thunderstorm!

I drove home yesterday from my work in a heavy downpour and strong wind. By the time I reached home, the twilight scene in the sky was in the horizon.

The darkness was just setting in, but the setting sun was still sending the radiant rays on the sky.

For most of us this season is a period of stress, loss or pain as we know of at least a few who are badly affected by COVID 19 infection. The stories are too painful even to recollect.

The way president of the USA behaved during this season of much stress is deplorable to say the least. Unlike his counterparts in Australia, NewZeland, South Korea, Singapore, etc who have demonstrated statesmanship and led their people with a resolute purpose of mindfulness of caring and consoling, the preside of the USA is preoccupied with a longing and activities for the forthcoming presidential election. It looks like that a most enlightened and advanced country has taken a backstage from leading the global economy from recession by collaborative planning!

So here we are, each nation left to fend for itself! I feel good that India sent some drugs and supplies to countries who needed them and created a separate fund to support the SARC countries. That would not absolve our national leadership in India for being slow in mitigating the suffering of those who are disadvantaged in our communities.

So, darkness makes us feel down cast!

But the twilight makes us see the horizon!

Let us live with this twilight of hope and turn our thoughts to God of our future! The logo of the institution where I work is, 'Be not afraid, only believe'!
