At the Christian Medical College, Vellore, during its Alumni meeting in August every year, there is a solemn and moving symbol of continuity of its 118 years of mission! The senior most alumni would light candles and deliver them to two interns as an invocation to live their calling, 'not to to be mistered not but to minister', the college motto!
As Anna and I sat in the auditorium and watched this transition last week end, we felt inspired by what lies ahead for CMC and its missionary vocation.
