We have a sense of space, because fo which we pay attention to make it in tune with our personal liking!
While visiting another country, I discovered a new dimension of space, which people of that country regard as their heritage! They believe that they have been bequeathed the space in the environment that they feel compelled to use the outer space only with consensus from the local community! Even before a house is built, the local council would invite opinions of the local community!
They feel that all the space around them is common to all! This sense of sharing the space is a symbol of bonding between people!
On the way to work, there is place on the roadside, where people leave their waste in plastic bags, although it is not designate place for dumping!
One reason our public places do not have a desirable level of order, cleanness, an aesthetic appearance is because of this lack of sense of owning our public spaces!
The department where I work received a fresh coat of paint last week. One child commented, 'It look better now'. That comment mad eye feel that even children notice a place when it is well kept !
We live sharing common spaces ! We help each other by co-owning them!
