Anna and I feel grateful for the publication of the above book to remember the fortieth anniversary of ASHIRVAD, which falls on November14, 2022. The first copy of the book was handed over to us by the publisher, yesterday.
Since we left our position at the Christian Medical College, Vellore in 1982 and moved on to involve ourselves in activities related to Child Development and Rehabilitation, we were on a journey of discovery, learning and growing.
In this book we share some of our learning experiences with photographs of birds, while watching birds visiting us in and around our garden!
During the last ten years since we were drawn to watch bird movements in our garden we got a sense of what it means to be living free and full!
This book recalls the fullness of life which birds bring to our attention. Birds brought some insights to lead us on.. !
Similarly children and families with whom we have been involved over the years through our association with Child Development activities of ASHIRVAD brought another sense of mission and purpose to our lives!
This book is a summary of recollections and grateful memories and an acknowledgement of the fruitful years of ASHIRVAD from 1983!
