Some photos of last week!

Each of the photos above left with me a message appropriate to my need and mood last week! I have often wondered whether my fascination for flowers would decline as I watch similar flowers in our garden or elsewhere.

In fact, I feel that flowers call me to be present to them! Sometimes some flowers are so engaging that intruding that private conversation by taking a photo of them, might be inappropriate, considering the movement taking place within me.

The last flower at the edge of our garden remained unnoticed till I watched a bee moving towards them. It was the sound of the bee and its fleeting movement which called me to attention of that flower.

The silent presence of the flowers has been a theme in my thoughts for a while. The flowers  appear and disappear and most of then remain unnoticed!

During an on line conversation yesterday with a family from another country, I felt the pain of their silent existence. Because they have a child with developmental needs, they feel alienated socially. Neither do they go out to socialise nor do they have have friends to relate to. Theirs was a silent presence in a busy city where they work.

Amidst this enforced silence, they have reached out to about fifty families during the COVID season to send food packets and medicines by joining with an NGO. Their pain of being alienated became a creative impulse to think of those who live alone!

Our presence is for others as well, just as flowers are an offering to others!

To think of others when we feel alone is indeed a calling which when welcomed brings a new level of consciousness about how much we are blessed to be overflowing!

  1. How true. True fulfillment comes from giving and who can teach us that better than nature
