An act of kindness!

The parking slot provided for me in the hospital is under the covered space outside the college canteen. It is normally a barren place to come to, devoid of any potted plant.

Yesterday, when I arrived, there were some potted plants placed on the side of the parking slot.  On enquiry I found out that the gardener did it to express his gratitude for the encouragement I might have given him for his efforts to nurture the garden in several places in the college campus.

An orchid, a lily and a palm- what a choice of plants!

To me, it was a message in affirmation, to pursue the call to do good quietly and thoughtfully! The encouragement to do so is not in looking for appreciation, but in delighting for having been able to be mindful of others!

Life is lived in the theatre of  of people around us. Any good we can do adds to the pool of goodness to create an ambience of wellness! People flourish to be full and overflowing when there is abundance of goodness all around them.

We live amidst the toils and struggles of life!

There is intense personal pursuit to find peace and contentment! Often it remains as an aspiration and longing! It is when we can light their path by an act of kindness, we revive the  people around to pursue doing good!

Life, when lived in a neighbour friendly way, offers an anchor to those, who feel weary while doing good!
