I went out to look for the cause of the smoke in the field! A farmer was burning the waste in his farm!
The stubble burning in Punjab and Haryana adds to air pollution in New Delhi. But in my villages, it scares the birds, reptiles and animals in the farm. I did hearing a cacophony in the air after the fire.
I found a crusher machine to powder leaves in a park in Coimbatore with compost pits adjacent to it. The compost thus produced is used for the plants in the garden and for sale to the public in packets.
There is an alternative to burning!
