A Small green Bee-eater !

I have often seen confused between Blue-cheeked Bee-Eater and a Blue-tailed Bee-Eater. This time, I found a green Bee-Eater. It is a green bee-eater with have a pair of long tails which have a blunt end. The bluish patch under the bill is also part of its identifying marker.

It was on a cable, sunbathing and grooming after its bath. It took about fifteen minutes before it started to look around. It flew into the air and settled at the same cable. I suspected that it flew for a fly. It shook its bills and neck and rubbed the bill on the cable to kill the fly and gulp it.

The last photo is that of bird bird calls after the meal!

A Bee-eater sleek and quick!

A Bee eater is beautiful to look at. But with its body wet after a bath, it is looking bit miserable!

But it was worth being there to watch a Bee eater catch a fly!
