A yellow Wagtail.

This bird is on the move constantly with wagging its tail up and down. I tried for fifteen minutes in the evening fading light to get a sharp picture. My skills in photography was not good enough to mange a better picture inspite of shooting at least fifty photos from a distance of 200 meters.

Its wagging and short forward movements characterise this species. They are seen running around in marshy fields and pastureland. It was comfortable with a pair of Lapwing birds around it.

It is a winter visitor and might stay on for early apr of summer. Three commonest races wintering in india are black headed, Blue headed, and Grey headed. This one has a grey head and a yellow underbelly with a mixture of yellow and brown colours in its plumage.

I was glad to have spotted a rare again species in our neighbourhood.
