Following the stay at home order to contain the corona infection, this farmer has an ordeal. He cannot get a transport to sell his tapioca in whole sale. He carries a head load each day to sell it in a local vegetable shop. His income is haled by this.
It seems that at the end of fighting the corona infection, (end is not in sight), many would be left economically drained.
The Maharashtra government is talking about paying only 25 percent of the salary.... it is going to hit us hard... I wonder how the majority would cope!
I wonder whether the church congregations would decide to do away with all the celebrations for one year and save it for helping those in their neighbourhood form slipping into economic disaster! When the school reopens, children would need support for uniform, books, fees, et. I have already heard from parents about the stress this would bring!
We are in difficult times...even in such times there is hope because human creativity to respond to disaster is proverbial!
