The winter is still away! The Monsoon has not receded! The farmers feel that the contrast between the day temperature of 33 degrees celsius and 21at night is a wide contrast for October.
We have COVID 19 pandemic, climate changes, and ecological changes to cope with.
Yesterday the domestic helper who works for us told me that the nutmegs are dropping in large numbers. To him, this is because of the extremes of temperature in the day and night for this season.
There is a lot at loss and yet the political class is only ensuring their continuity to rule by enticing people with promises.
I have yet to hear or read about a plan to support children when they are not at school for six months now. Is the on-line learning a substitute to child development plan!
I feel that the voluntary sector is more active and is aware of human needs. And yet the government has put a gag on them by making the FCRA regulations even more stringent! Th political masters somehow find the funds for their political activities and escape the income tax scrutiny.
I feel that the moral thermostat of the society is often set by the national government. It is at its low level now.
I grieve and wait!
