Seedlings, hope for the farmer!

From the time the seeds are sown, a farmer waits for the harvest day.

Yesterday, when I saw a farmer inspecting the seedlings, I realised that he was vigilant to maintain just enough moisture in the field. Although he declined to be photographed, he spoke to me at length about all the risks associated with the seedlings growth. His loan from the bank to cultivate is what is on his mind.

He lives on the produce of the farm and tow cows which gives him ten litres of milk each day!

He at late sixties also have to get his only daughter married! That is another concern on his mind. He lives on a small property which he uses to cultivate  for vegetables.

We hear the stories of millionaires and how they live...to me the stories of those who live in the margins are inspiring as they live greater mindfulness of others. This farmer cultivates the adjacent field for his neighbour as the field belongs to a widow! He does it freely because he feels for her!

A life is full, only when others come into our orbit of attention!
