The theme that embraced my mind while being with these flowers was: Openness. They were open towards everything around them!
The flowers remain open because that is what they are meant to be! They offer themselves to the nature around them.
To be open towards others would mean a listening and engaging attitude. The attitude of openness involves receiving others just as they are.
Our critics and benefactors alike are those to whom we are to be open!
That is a difficult and long journey!
When that is the orientation for relating to others, we move from classifying others as friends or enemies to receiving all as neighbours!. Jesus of Nazareth in his prayer, referred that 'they may all be one'! A state of openness that brings togetherness!
