A special delight during winter months, is to watch the dew on the leaves.
The appearance of rose leaves in the morning, brings an unusual sight of design of dew on the leaves. It is a visual feast. The dew drops remain distinct without merging with the adjacent drops. The serrated margins of the leaves have a striking appearance of decoration.
It is not the rose flowers alone which make a garden beautiful. The dew makes the whole rose bush appear elegant and brilliant in the morning sunshine.
A garden in winter months gives a contrasting look from the rest of the year.
Some of the photographs I treasure are those of rose bushes with their leaves smeared in dew!
