During a visit to the Madhipura Christian Hospital, recently, I noticed the above butterflies all in the shades of Brown!
They were all spotted in the same site, where they gathered in the morning for feeding on a succulent fruit, which dropped from a tree above during the night. The whole area had a look of activity and movement. The butterflies by nature rest in one place for long time. It was my movement which disturbed them to fly to another spot. I moved in between to spot them as their brown colour easily merged with the colour of soil and fruit that they were on.
The size, shape of wings, design on the wings, colour and movement pattern were distinct to each of them.
I stay wondering , that there were 26 different butterflies of the brown shades in one place!
Our sense of surprise get enhanced about the mystery in nature, as we come across such unusual sights and experiences!
