This Myna was searching for water in our courtyard and found a small pool of water in the corner. To my surprise it stayed in the site for a while till it had its drink enough for the morning!
Being content with little! Finding the little when plenty is not around!
That is a way of living!
The parents of Jesus fo Nazareth was content with a manger for Mary to give birth to her baby boy! In fact that corresponded with His vocation later in life-be mindful of people who were pushed to the margins! The shepherds who received the message of the birth of Jesus were those who had learned to live with little or no facilities in life!
Is not little enough!
I have lived with this question for most of this year! There was little encouragement to remain steadfast at work in the place where I belong to. But the little became large enough to sustain me to experience the sufficiency that can come through the little in life!
Were not five leaves and two fish just little for a crowd of five thousand to have a meal! The boy who carried that food packet saw the largeness of what he had and saw Jesus of Nazareth large enough to bring a surprise of multiplying the food for a meal for the five thousand.
The Christmas is a season of joy because God reduced Himself to become small as a human! All things since them which are small are made honourable enough!
It is a season calling us to live with little we have been given and stay content in God who is our all sufficient God!
