Ready to be Open!

A flower is seen only when a bud opens!

The sight of the two buds ready to open like the flower already open drew my attention.

Am I open enough for others to receive me just as I am!

We become open to others through our words, thoughts, actions, confessions, encouraging attitude, serving spirit, mindfulness, self-giving......!

An open flower has northing more left in it to hide. But as humans, life is a journey towards being fully open!

How much of myself is open to others! Do I create an aura about myself by being open to others about the bright side of my life alone! To be open would  mean a wholesome exposure of life to others!

The shadows in our lives would also need to be made open through our confessions because  that alone would make us live humanly, not in the strength of our character, but through the identity that God gives to us as those in whom God is delighted!

The story of Moses in the book of Exodus, in the Old Testament from 2nd chapter onwards  is  a fascinating story to read because Moses's life started with an experience of being abandoned in the river Nile, rescued by Pharaoh's daughter and later growing up nursed by his mother and  in the palace of Pharaoh. Moses as a young man killed an Egyptian (Exod 2:11-12) and had to flea to the land of Midian to escape being caught and punished for murder. It is this Moses who had an encounter with God and was called to lead the Hebrews from Egypt to the promised land. (Exod 3:1-22. Moses was redeemed for a purpose.

That is the story of most of us. We were restored from being lost to our ways of living! It is by making known from where we were restored our life is fully biographical and a narration of the mercy of God in our lives!
