These two wood peckers have a fairly constant ritual each morning. They come together with their loud bird calls to go up the coconut tree circling around the tree from the bottom, one following the other. Later they climb independently at a different pace from each other. After reaching the top both them fly away beyond our garden!
I like watching this game they play between themselves. They are a delight to watch.
They are consistent with the tree they choose for this morning ritual.
Even birds have rhythm and rituals.
One rhythm for many families is the prayer time in the morning and evening. Some parents tell me that children too participate actively in this regularly.
Any ritual if it is meaningful and refreshing is worthy of becoming a routine.
Most adults need regularity in their daily rhythm, lest we live disorderly and carelessly.
To have a regular bed time and wake up time, is a ritual that is valuable to keep, for turning the day time to be fresh and fruitful!
