During most of the week, the sky was overcast with no sunshine except for short periods in between the rain. The buds and flowers looked bright as usual weathering the wind and the rain! They were not surviving , but living as usual!
There is a life within each plant which overcomes the inclement weather.
The life within is what is central to fullness of life!
The apostle Paul referred to it, as 'treasure in an earthen vessel'.
To live from the fullness from within in adverse situations is the story of human history! The adversities become formative for inner resolve to be overcomes.
I returned to the week the that has gone by... some difficult experiences have stirred me further to find strength to live beyond the gloom of the circumstance!
I find symbols as a reminder of the depth to which we can descend to find the inner strength to live, when the clouds are thick and foretell heavy rain! Is not God whom we find in the depth of our being!
