A visitor or resident !

I spotted this white breasted Kingfisher perched in a tall coconut tree about 150 meters away. It flew away into the foliage of the nutmeg tree. After a long search I gave up. I was keen to locate if it has already got  nest in the garden.

As I was viewing the movements in a tree through a binocular, I spotted a Magpie Robin . The

The Kingfisher was hiding between branches. It cannot be its nesting place as they normally nest on the side of dry waterbody by by burrowing parallel to the ground.

As I watched this Kingfisher for a while it occurred to me that it was engaged in repeated bird calls. It was on a journey to fid its pair.

I did not know till now that our garden is a safe place for romance, nesting, birth of your birds, and  for adult birds to find feed for themselves and young ones.

I discovered a hiding green small Barbet in this process for searching fo the Kingfisher.

Some of these birds spend a lot time in the garden. The barbet waist for the papaya fruits to ripen. The stream beside our property has fish for the Kingfisher. The Magpie Robin used to have nest in our garden.

It looks like our garden is socialistic with a place for many birds! I am happy it is that way!

It is necessary to create space within ourselves for others-humans, birds, animals, ...then it shall overflow to make outer space for all of them.
