This calf who is nearing two years is friendly and responsive to any attention given to her. She makes no distinction between strangers and familiar people. It looks like her nature is one of welcome. The lady who supplies us milk owns the calf and and every time we pass by, she would lift her head and look till we are no more in her sight.
She is temperamentally friendly ! Even birds feel safe in her company while she is grazing.
Every friendship has this quality of offering security to those with whom we have a relationship. Any friendship which offers this ambience is a healthy setting for friends to find in each other strengths and support for mutual growth. Friendships if they become parasitic, they are on a downhill course.
The safety of friendship springs from acceptance of each other, no matter what might be the circumstance. It is trust and mutuality which build relationships.
All friendships blossom when there is space for freedom and mindfulness of the other person. In fact friendships become source of healing, wellness and comfort when we give consideration for the other person.
Friendships do not fail when this is the climate of mutuality!
The solo travellers do not recognise the richness of friendships till they are surprised by kindness and goodwill at an opportune time. We rekindle human lives in their time of loneliness, through surprising acts of kindness! Life is a journey to bring goodwill and light in to the lives of others!
