The two delightful sights in our garden at mid morning today were sighting a pair of Bulbuls at the water bowl and the blooming of fresh flowers of Butter cups.
I noticed this pair of Bulbuls hopping between trees and my interest was aroused to see if they were gathering sticks for nesting.
With the cloudy morning in the subdued sunlight, the Butter cups opened later than the usual time today. With light diffusely falling on the petals, the colourfulness was most captivating!
I wish I had a trace of poetic sense to bring the joyful mystery of the two events in our garden- a bird family in sight and the new flowers of butter cups in the garden! Soon honey bees would be hovering over the butter cups for nectar.
The birds left after a while. The butter cups had folded by late morning to open again tomorrow. Both experiences were short, but with longer effect of gladness!
This brought an awakening moment of awareness of larger meaning hidden in small events.
The bird movements and blossoming of flowers are regular and ordinary happenings in the garden!
But they symbolised new beginnings!
A bird family in formation and Butter cups drawing bees for nectar!
A flock of birds and colony of bees from this small beginning!
