72 hours of Raining!

The three pictures above, are from our garden taken yesterday after 72 hours of incessant rain. The flowers were drooping and the petals looked soaked and bleached by water. There were no Honey bees in the butter cups unlike the usual. A corner of the boundary wall adjacent to the stream collapsed due to water logging.

Along with this, I found that the butterflies and honey bees were in the garden during the in between short dry spell. They found hopefully what they needed

I presume that this is the reality that surrounds us all the time. The travails and stresses along with the message of hope and peace!

When we sat for breakfast yesterday, while it was raining, we had a mixed feeling- remembering all those who are affected harshly by this rainfall and ourselves being able to sit around the table to share some happy moments!

Anna laid the table to make it as an occasion of gratefulness and recollections!

I remembered the conversation around the table on one occasion in a home. The adults were talking about the difficulties and the mood was turning to be sadness. The five year old girl, spoke up: 'we are having our favourite omelette for breakfast'! That instantly changed the conversation content. From then on it was about happy occasions and feeling of gratefulness.

It is when we feel grateful our attention will genuinely turn towards those who are in difficulties!

A grateful heart brings gladness to ourselves and leads us to be mindful of those around us!

A complaining attitude is like creating ripples of water by dropping a pebble into still water, leaving our minds perplexed!

Around sunset yesterday, a Bulbul was on the cable, one of the regular sites they come to in our courtyard in the evening. It was not singing, but looked composed!

To be able to receive the experiences and look forward to the events  awaiting us, can be uplifting and upbuilding!

There is a reason to be hopeful. The butterflies and honey bee found nectar even in the rain! A Bulbul was on its visit of flight stations as usual!

They live experiencing the provisions given to them each day!
