Daily challenges and opportunities!

I felt disturbed even more by the news that keep appearing in news papers about all that is of serious concern, which affect the lives of people now. The recent stress in the Indo-China, Indo-Nepal and Indo-Pakistan borders add further stress. The governments in various states are at their wits end in coping with the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the evening walk, I noticed several new shoots in the cashew nut tree, which was recently damaged in the storm. The tree lost one branch, but now the tree would have several new branches.

This is a paradox. Out of a loss, there is a gain.

What people need is not a narration of their losses or description of all that cause concern, but a message of hope and prospects in difficult times.

What are these new shoots!

Yesterday the Prime minister of India, while addressing the soldiers in Ladakh, at the Indo-China border said, 'the days of expansionism is over; now we live in an age of development..'! There was a message of definition of the new priorities for the government of india.

People need faith in a government, which defines a path for people!

Never have we in the independent India faced such a confluence of adverse situations.

We ought to be messengers of the shoots of hope that people can hold on to!

From the news of a dog who jumped to death from the terrace of a fourth floor, in seeing the dead body of his master being brought home, it is clear that grief overcomes humans, canines, birds, etc.

Grief is a prelude to a growing experience, if only we can tarry through grief! This becomes possible when people can tarry in their grief as a community.

It is not better days that we look forward to, but to turn the difficult times to be those better days!
