The monsoon season is special for some birds. The three resident birds in our garden, Magpie Robin, Drongo and Kingfisher were in three different locations, but romantically tuneful. The Kingfisher was even dancing.
Soon another kingfisher arrived and appeared to be dancing as well.
Sometimes sights such as these help us to look beyond our pre-occupations.
With the general advisory that those who are past 65 years stay at home to protect themselves from COVD 19 has been weighing heavily on me for the last few days. Three fo us in the department were working on creating a digital platform for our clinical records. We have made a good beginning. We too have been on an ambitious project to bring out a publication in connection with the seventh Anniversary of the department in September, 2020. These plans would get dislocated if I cannot go to the hospital.
These birds were spotted after a heavy down our this morning. It was still cloudy and overcast. Bu they sang loudly and cheerfully!
The rain did not subdue their spirit.
It was an encouraging sight.
I felt restored seeing and hearing this. The circumstances are not the arbitrators of our soul. The song is from deep within. So what happens to us do not decide our sense of wellness. It is how we respond to the circumstance which regulates our wellness.!
