This child needed support form his father to get up!
All of us need support from others in our lives regularly!
A sixteen year old child with his family who live normally in Canada came enquiring if he can be helped to discover his life skills and to go on to his full potential. It is likely that he might have Asperger syndrome.
The family's question is to help him 'get up' from his frozen state emotionally, socially and vocationally.
I recalled after that conversation several instances, when I was helped to go on because others cared to take time and give attention to help me.
It is likely that even our friends might be in a state of needing a helping hand.
Our life experiences more completeness when we have become a help for someone in need even before he or she asks for it!
