First effect of Summer heat in our garden!

Since we started living in our cottage, it is the first time, I noticed a tree becoming dry and withered  in summer heat, that too in January heat! There was a delay in watering some trees as the access was denied due to overgrowth in the ground. There were some days when the day temperature had crossed 36 degree celsius in mid January! Tis tree was sixty or more years old, giving us plenty of nutmegs during each season.

The loud talks about climate changes do not get translated into action. I wish we were more alert and took some anticipatory measures.

This is the first message to us about the declining ground water level in our property. The well which had ten meters of water in summer has less than half of it now.

Water too would soon become a serious concern!

We live in challenging times!
