The palm fruits are both ornamental and sources fo food!
What fascinated me when I visited a resort at the backwaters at Cherai is the attention given to all the trees in the garden. They were planted to create foot path between the rows of the palm trees. Under tier shades, there were other plants and fruit trees.
What surprised me was a flowering mango tree and thick foliage of a wild orchid growing in the dead stem of a coconut tree!
This reminded me of the bountiful provisions we receive form the earth!
The gardener who weed for us, Sasi, tells me often, that the earth returns in multiples when we attend to tend its flora!
