There is an end to the day with sun setting! Till the sun rises the next day, there is darkness!
We are people who live in the light and darkness because the rhythm of nature is such.
While that is the outer reality, there is also an inner reality of such an experience.
To live our lives with our inward life lit with light would make us relational, compassionate and caring! The inner light gives us an insight about ourselves, our vulnerability, limitations, shortcoming and proneness to our impulsivity. The inner light reveals the goodness around us and make us aware of people and situations as opportunities to engage.
Th darkness within can be a painful experience. We live with fear, anxiety, disappointment and stressful about who we are not! There can be similar orientation towards others and our environment.
The light within, dispels inner darkness!
I am susceptible to be overcome by darkness although consciously, I keep an orientation towards light! Yesterday, when I was overcome by darkness of impulsivity in a conversation, I realised that the light within us can indwell within us only by turning towards the Light. The words of Jesus of Nazareth, "I am the light of the world.." is a reality to hold on to...Although light and darkness are realities, the orientation towards either of it is a habit we develop by our choices!
