Every time Anna and I attend a weeding service, we return with a feeling that it is the incarnation of the creation story-God created humans that man shall leave...and cling on to his wife.
In this journey of leaving and cleaving, there is a daily dynamic reality of seeking God in prayer. Whatever might be the form of prayer we practice in our relationship with our spouse, it is important to esteem that as a means of the 'two becoming one'.
What is so special about the need to become one after marriage!
When Anna returned after a few weeks of being away at Ludhiana, after having been together for 24 hours both of us spontaneously said to each other, 'how nice it is good to be together again'!
Our instinct in marriage is for togetherness!
It grows to become a reality progressively when there are times of heart to heart communication! One means to experience the drawing power in spousal relationship is through corporate communion in prayer.
