The above birds and butterflies have been missing for a year in our garden. They added colour due to their presence and moderated the behaviour of some other birds. Now with the variety of birds diminishing in the garden, Barbets and squirrels dominate and chase other birds away from being around our cottage!
I get to understand the benefit of ethnic diversity in a society to protect a community from becoming clannish in behaviour !
The clannish birds in our garden are Babblers, Magpie robins, Parakeets, and Barbets. The Bulbuls, Sunbirds, and Tree pies are least clannish in our garden.
Some birds are less sociable but not intimidating in behaviour. The butterflies create space for others from different species.
I am immensely impressed by the richness of inter-racial communities in some countries.
The recent voice from the United States of America in that sense is most disturbing! There is an emotional burden of discrimination that people from other nationalities resident in the USA, currently suffers from!
We can feel a void, when others different from us are not around us! If the world is a home for humanity, then all of us belong to each other!
I wish birds and butterflies would return to our garden! What is a garden unless all birds find at home in the garden!
