This male purple-romped Sunbird is an occasional visitor to our garden. Its colour complexion is amazingly striking. Its habits are similar to like the other Sunbirds. They move between flowers for nectar. They are shy of human presence. But This sunburn was comfortable to be photographed and paused for me to get some good photos.
I was waiting for bird calls, but that did not happen.
The energetic movements, hovering over flowers and hopping on the ground to search for insects are a slight to watch.
A small bird, but most colourful and vibrant!
Watching a bird with such vibrant behaviour is inspirational!
