The inside of this nutmeg fruit is widely different from the outside appearance. The inside is colourful and rich. While gathering the fruit the shell is discarded. The nut and the maize are dried for using them for multiple purposes. The outer shell is a protection for the inside.
The inside matters and the the outer keeps the inside intact.
The humans have a similar existential reality. The body houses our soul. The depth within each of us is our soul.
Often humans view their soul as a spiritual reality alone, that matters of soul come up in referring to religious experiences or while dwelling on Godward journey. That is one dimension of our soul centric view of life.
The other reality is that it is within our soul we hold together our past, present and future. All of our being, is coloured by the deepest feelings and consciousness we carry towards life, living and learning which reside in our soul. The fabric of our life is represented in the human soul. What we have become and shall become are affected by the terrain of our soul.
I have recently had some experiences of how connecting with this deeper consciousness about people and situations can help us to recover from prejudiced behaviour to a sober view of people who are difficult to get along with.
The soul is a sacred space within us where God consciousness can grow or get suppressed. It is when God consciousness becomes the ambience of the interior soul space, we become torch bearers or hope givers to others.
It is one thing to live at the external level where we are known for our position we hold or skills we offer to others; it is a different mission when we are known for the interior qualities of patience, forbearance, tolerance and kindness.
Ou souls pace is the kernel of our life! We become what we are in our soul space! That is why healing of emotions, hurts, fearful dreams or self doubt are necessary to be whole. This form of soul consciousness grows when we set apart silent times to travel interior. The silence of the mind is the pathway to reach the soul space. To practice interior stillness where we can transcend the traffic within our mind is the first step towards feeling connected with sour soul.
It is this companionship with our soul which would then influence our mind to make it the ambience of our mind, where giving and forgiving become habitual.
Becoming a companion to our soul is a way of becoming alive to be our true self!
