A few million people for a month now live in Jammu and Kashmir with reduced freedom, enclosed in their homes without access to communication, travel opportunities, shopping, schooling, adequate health care. They live at the mercy of the security forces. The government of India who is responsible fo this imposition of control, seem to justify it with no promise of lifting the restrictions in the immediate future.
People are resilient! If white flowers symbolise peace, peace too is resilient. These flowers remained intact even in incessant rain for a week now!
People of Jammu and Kashmir, may you grow in resilience and we tarry with you hoping for peace to triumph! We feel your pain and desolation in the mean time!
