Some followers of Jesus of Nazareth are now after property, edifices, bank accounts, cemeteries, etc. so much so the the court and police are involved to bring resolution to conflict between two groups!
It grieves all of us that this internal matter of a church ought to come to this state where we do not see each others as fellow pilgrims and followers of Jesus of Nazareth!
It is a time for those who belong to the faith journey as followers of Jesus of Nazareth to consider how we can live without being possessive. Jesus of Nazareth spoke of 'loving our neighbour as ourselves'! For the sake of property can we hate each other!
Jesus of Nazareth once spoke, 'birds have nest, foxes have holes, but the son of man has no place to lay his head'!
The message from this ugly ongoing tussle is: how do we revive our mission of the church of being a community of people witnessing to the love with which we are called to live!
